Providing support resources to the residents of Tucson, Sierra Vista, Green Valley and the greater Southern Arizona community is at the heart of Territory Neurology & Research Institute’s Mission. It is our pleasure to host support group meetings, health/wellness classes, and education seminars on site. Please see a list of our services listed below.

A Summer of Fun & Fitness
An Exercise Class Taught by Certified Personal Trainer Rachel Allen
Ready to feel stronger, experience increased strength, develop a more stable core, and enjoy greater mobility? Then join certified personal trainer Rachel Allen for a Summer Workout Series. The series will run every Tuesday at 11:30am starting May 15th. The classes will begin with a functional movement assessment. Each week will cover functional movements in daily activities, lengthening and strengthening based on personal fitness level and weekly progression. Participants will be encouraged to track their attendance throughout the series to not only see progress and feel better, but to enter to win fun prizes.
This series offers two separate classes:
Chair Body Works (11:30am-12:15pm) – a class designed for individuals who have limited mobility. Discover your range of motion, level of strength, and learn ways to develop them both! Focus on push, pull, twist and bending. Exercises will include body weight, light weights, bands, and yoga balls.
Pilates Style (12:30pm-1:15pm) – Stretch, strengthen and lengthen. Movements are designed to encourage greater sense of mobility and increased awareness of center. We will work through the functional movements of pushing, pulling, squatting, single-leg stances, twisting, bending, and hinging. This class includes light weights, bands, and Yoga and Pilates Balls.
Rachel Allen is an ACE Certified Personal/Group Fitness Trainer. She also holds a certificate in TRX Skills with an emphasis on continuing education in Functional Movement.
While in her 20s, Rachel discovered her passion for running and cross training. She strongly believes in the importance of making a commitment to health and long-lasting changes. Rachel is a long-time mentor to women and facilitates multiple self-empowerment classes and workshops. Looking at the whole body, being and lifestyle of every individual she works with, she truly is an Integrative Lifestyle Coach in her approach.
A Recipe for Conversation
A group for caregivers and their loved ones that features guest speakers. Meetings allow attendees to socialize as well as share and discuss life with Alzheimer’s disease. Sessions are offered to patient and caregiver, with the opportunity to meet separately should the desire be expressed. Meetings are held the 2nd Wednesday of the month from 10-11:00 a.m. Refreshments are provided.
LIVING LIFE: SHARING STORIES
Whether you or a loved one has Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, or any other neurological disability, this conversation is for you! Recognizing that each diagnosis comes with its own challenges, this group session allows for people to come together and learn from the unique experiences of others. Come to listen, vent about frustrations, or just enjoy good conversation with a nice group of people! This group meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month from 10-11am. Refreshments are provided.
ACTIVE LIFESTYLES WITH CHRONIC CONDITIONS
Focusing on activities, speakers, and education, this group will provide you with the tools you need to live an active & healthy lifestyle while managing your diagnosis. Meetings will also designate time for group discussions to help form a strong support network. Open to any neurological disability, this group meets the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 6:30-7:30pm. Refreshments are provided.
